☆About ☆
Ember Poelking is a Cleveland-based artist that creates hand-built sculptures, impasto oil and acrylic paintings, crochet apparel, intricate collages, and highly-detailed drawings. His work is heavily inspired by the impressionism movement, and he loves to use many textures in his work. Ember’s artwork focuses on the power of healing through enhancing “imperfections” and enjoying the creative process.
Using art to overcome his own mental health struggles, Ember is dedicated to getting his Master’s Degree in Art Therapy so he can share the power of healing through art. He is currently enrolled in Cuyahoga Community College’s Creative Arts program, and plans to transfer to Ursuline College. Ember strongly encourages the radical acceptance of “imperfect” works. He believes the process of creating is far more important for healing than the final product, and mistakes are keys to the unconscious.
